Topic: The “Grand Beer Sensory Experience”

Seminar Format

1-Day In-Person Seminar as a Workshop with Exercises

What It's About

Germany is a land of beer! With over 5,000 different beer brands, no other country offers such diversity. If you were to try a new beer every day, it would take you over 13 years! But: not all beer is the same. Each variety tells its own story – from its origin to its taste. Whether wheat beer or Pilsner, IPA or Bock, light or dark, bitter or malty – beer is so much more than just a thirst quencher.
You will experience an interactive workshop with many extras for participants:
- Tasting as comparative sensory analysis
- Professional tasting tools & worksheets
- Comprehensive handout to take home

We give beer the same appreciation and perception as a fine wine, allowing the product to be seen and evaluated with different eyes. Like beer sommeliers, we professionally discuss the initial taste, effervescence, and aftertaste. We assess foam, color, clarity, aroma, and taste. Participants work with various tools such as the aroma wheel, color scale, and tasting sheets. We also cover which beer type is recommended for which dish, and how beer can be used in the world of cocktails.
