Wine Producer Coaching

Seminar Format

Coaching, appointments by arrangement

What It's About

Do your employees know how to present your wines accurately and make them appealing to customers?
How can your wines be better received by consumers or restaurateurs than those of your neighbour? Which dishes are recommended to go with them?

An outside perspective—combined with my professional, independent and analytical view—will enable you and your employees to present your wines in a way that makes their style understood and convinces your customers.
To achieve this, everything (from work in the vineyard and management in the cellar through to sensory evaluation in the glass) must suit you. Only then does an authentic overall picture emerge that convinces your customers intuitively.
A clear portfolio structure with an authentic origin story and convincing suggestions for the right use with customers will determine your commercial success as well as your enjoyment/satisfaction in your day-to-day work.

Objectives

Turn customers into regular customers with a coherent concept.
Increase your own satisfaction in day-to-day work.
Employee retention by increasing identification with their role.

Content

I take time for your concerns. An initial telephone consultation serves to understand your starting point, needs and goals—and, of course, for us to get to know each other. The approach and scope of the coaching can already be outlined at this stage. The initial consultation is free of charge and non-binding for you.
My coaching sessions take place at your winery. By way of example, a (first) appointment could proceed as follows:

  1. Initial telephone consultation
  2. Sending sample wines from your range for preparation
  3. Appointment for a sensory discussion of these wines with you at the winery
  4. If the focus is on presenting the wines, your sales staff should be involved in the on-site discussion. Depending on the possibilities and situation, this on-site tasting can be accompanied by suitable dishes.
  5. If the focus is on refining the wine style, I will bring sample wines from other producers, which we can use to jointly sharpen your target profile.
  6. Another option would be to involve me in the bottling samples/cuvée blending so that the final product design can be integrated precisely into portfolio planning right from the start. A prior walk-through of your vineyards could be beneficial here.
